Below is a showcase of what I consider my three best overall pieces from my two years at Freestyle!
Cards – Zenith Project
Our final project of the year in Design was to create anything we wanted design related. I decided to make my own custom deck of cards. Customizing 54 cards (55 including creating the back) was a very long and difficult process. Trying to make custom yet recognizable suits, along with different layouts for each card took a lot of time, but this is by far my favorite work I have made at Freestyle. Below is a spread of all the cards I created, along with a highlight of some of my favorites.
StarTea – Logo Design
Our first assignment of the Narrative 2 unit was to create our own fake company and create a logo, promotional video, and products to showcase it. My logo was StartTea, a caffeinated tea. Below is a triptych that includes my logo on tea bags, mugs, paper cups, and a promotional video for the company.
Deforestation PSA – PSA Project
During our Reflections unit, we took our core values from an assignment in our English class and applied them to making a PSA in our Design class. I chose to focus on deforestation and protecting our forests. In 2017, a forest fire took out my summer camp, which has been my summer home since 2015. This project was really meaningful to me, and I am very happy with how the finished project turned out.
