The challenge this week was to take a photo in the “Accidental Renaissance” style using balance composition. I took this picture of the sun setting and feel like it demonstrates this idea fairly well. I chose to incorporate the idea of balance into my photo in the exact opposite way as the word suggests: unbalanced. The side of the building splits the image down the center, almost juxtaposing the two sides. However, because of the darker shade of the building, the light from the sun is able to be seen clearly. The color scheme and the lighting of the photo contribute to the Accidental Renaissance idea.
