This week’s prompt had us express weight or mass through the use of dark and light colors. When something is darker, it appears to be heavier, and when it’s brighter, it seems lighter. I applied this idea when photographing this piano. The darker keys seem much heavier and look like they have more mass compared to the white keys, even though they are the same size in reality. When editing this photo, I used a screen layer to brighten the black keys to make them stand out more.
