Water

The prompt for this photo blog was simply ‘water’. Instead of photographing water itself, I wanted to show how water interacts with other objects. I feel like the refraction of light that water causes is so interesting, arbitrary, and beautiful. Combining this with the saturated red and shiny silver, I composed this photo of somebody’s bike outside a colorful pizzeria in San Francisco just after it rained.

I like how the rain added texture, reflection, and mood, turning an already visually interesting bike into a more dynamic and eye-catching subject.
