Photo blog #44: Viewpoint

milo rathbun – composition

In this photoblog, I was tasked with capturing a viewpoint from an odd perspective. I choose to use this wall of the ocean and beach as my substitute viewpoint. I positioned a glass with wanted in front of the camera and placed it far away to give it depth. I intended for it to look like it was underwater but for this, I would’ve needed almost a tank of water and much more space. So instead I used the rule of thirds and offset the water to create this blurred-out side that you can sort of make out.
