For this photo, I wanted to fill the frame with one shade of blue (as close as I could get to a solid color) and have the focal point be one large flower and its shadow. The flower was picked and then floated on the surface of a swimming pool, where it cast a shadow on the pool wall nearby. I then made sure nothing else was in frame besides the flower, its shadow, and the water, and took the picture. I tried my best to do all this to make it look like the flower was almost floating. I then adjusted the colors in Photoshop. I’m actually pretty happy with how the photo turned out.
