During this past spring break, my mother and I did a roadtrip from Los Altos to Forks Washington. We did site seeing and college tours. This picture is of our breakfast before we left for our trip. The photo has many aspect of leading lines. The pancakes, the blueberries and the sausage lead our eye up and down the photo.

For this photo, I took a picture of my good friend Daniella. instead of taking a picture of a stranger, I took a picture of my friend facing away from me. Her back facing the camera gives the photo an anonymous feeling towards it making it feel like she is a stranger.

I find serenity in books. To me books are an escape from reality. I took a photo of this small home library because it makes me feel calm and at peace. When editing this photo, i lowered the exposure and brightness to give it a darker and calmer look to it.

The rule of odds is a beautiful thing. Although the rule of symmetry brings a feeling of balance, an odd number of subjects, or asymmetry gives a fun and joyfull spin to a photo. I wanted to take a picture of 3 beautiful fake flowers with a colorful background. I wanted the viewer to get a joyfull and calm feeling while looking at the photo.

When I think of aging, I think of candles. I feel like candles are the best representation of aging. The more candles get used, the smaller they get. When editing this photo, I used the color balance adjustment to give the photo a warm and happy feel. This represents that aging is a beautiful thing.

This photo prompt caused me to think more creatively. I wanted to try out new things and I knew i wanted to include a picture of shoes. This photo has the illusion of a reflection without any “filters” or editing. I also added cool tones to give the viewer an overall calm feeling while looking at this photo.

Something I like to do in my free time to clear my head is to go on drives. One day my friend introduced me to this gorgeous view point. This is one of my favorite spots to visit. the negative space in this photo adds onto the calming feeling.

The shadow shown in this picture represent my friends and I’s friendship. I was able to connect with 2 amazing people through covid and even now our relationship is as strong as ever. This image represents our strong bond and relationship.

I found this beautiful painting in a thrift shop near my house. I fell in love with the mystery and the anonymous feeling of the painting. I also love the painting style and the background of the painting.

For this photo, I stopped to look at the sunset and realized that the sunset was framed by the car window. This portrait of the sunset is perfectly framed by the inside of the car door.
