Every time me and my friends go to Safeway, we take a look at the small rack full of baked goods that are about to expire, hoping to find a sweet treat for 50% off. This illustrates gluttony by showing the overconsumption of goods, especially food, by our population as a whole. Stores always tend to make too much of something, then are forced to have these sales to not waste the excess; though a lot of it still goes to waste, and, unfortunatelys, is thrown out.
