Loneliness

F4 ISO: 6,400 1/2655 Lens: 18-55mm

I decided to capture this portrait of a lonely fire hydrant for one of this month’s photo blogs. It stands out a lot against the dark background, and is the only man-made object in photo. I think that’s what makes it to appear lonely; there’s light around it but it’s still the in the shadows and stands by itself in that clearing. The composition aids in this as well, it’s front and center but still stands in the dark, alone.
