I decided to capture a picture to fit the film noir theme by putting on focus on shadows. I paid attention to how shadows can impact pictures and if a picture with a sad message would get across even better following the film noir theme. I decided to take a picture of my dog who was in the sunlight. He is currently losing ability in his legs but still enjoys life with me and my mom, and through this photo, I wanted to capture the sadness of his situation and how much joy he has brought to our family.
