Warmth

For this photo blog, we were challenged to take a picture of something that represents warmth. To me, my layout of nick-nacks represents more to me than just aesthetics. The majority of them have been given to me by close friends, some of them I created, and some others just wholesome memories.

The diffuser is something my mom got for me, and is something that I love using whenever with the lavender essential oil I feel stressed. the ceramic whale is something I painted at one of my friend’s birthday parties. The little glass souvenir is something I got from my online friend when we went to New York together. The bear heart box is something another one of my friend’s gave me on my birthday. The two origami pieces was something I made at a fun Christmas party I had with my family down in San Francisco. The mini gold jar is something my dad gave me when he and my brother went to Coloma together. The mini glass dolphin is something an old friend gave me at one of my older birthday parties. The beaded dolphin is something I purchased from one of my friend’s at their Holiday Faire booth. And lastly, the poem one of my closest friend’s gave me for my birthday.

All of these nick-nacks hold meanings for me, which is why I keep it on my shelf to look at. It means a lot to me to know that there are people in the world who are kind enough to give these gifts to me so I can always remember them and the fun times we have together.
