Shadow

This week’s prompt was, “Tell a story, and make it compelling while only using shadow.” I took several photos for this prompt, but ultimately decided to go with a picture of a dead spider. I thought that this photo was powerful because despite the seemingly long shadow the spider’s body cast, it would’ve been minuscule in comparison to a human’s shadow. A death so small you have to look through a magnifying glass to see it. However, this photo also carries positive implications. No matter how big or how small, life casts a shadow, has a purpose, and the absence of that life will be missed in some way or another.
