Stranger

This week’s photo blog prompt was “tell the story of a stranger.” At first, I tried to capture moments of others people lives at a park near my house. They are strangers after all. I walked with my sister, and we had a lot of fun! However, I wasn’t satisfied with any of the pictures I had taken of strangers. But then, I stumbled across a photo of a cherry blossom branch that my sister had photobombed. The background was blurred, making it impossible to tell who she was. Even though this picture wasn’t taken for the prompt originally, I think it really fits.

Looking at this picture, it made me think of how i always admire the cherry blossom trees that are in bloom this time of year. They really are gorgeous, and I notice them in the park, in neighbors front yards, in shopping malls, almost everywhere really. I imagine that many other people see the same trees I do, think the same thoughts about how beautiful they are. To me, this photo represents that idea of a stranger being able to appreciate the beauty in life, no matter who they are. That part of our humanity, the part that allows us to appreciate life, is part of what ties people together.
