Film Still Shot

Parchment Paper Reflecting Light

This week we were challenged to take a photo that looks like a film still-shot. I read this article about how one of the main aspects of film is color. I decided to try and use parchment paper and take a picture through it to give it a golden glow and a film-y look. Once I actually tried it, I realized that parchment paper is too thick to actually take pictures through, so I experimented with some other shots. I loved how this one ended up- I diffused the light from my house’s light porch light to heavily contrast with the surrounding flours, houses, and sky. I think it’s beautiful how these things in the background look painted.
