For this photo challenge, I thought it would be interesting to cut a tree in half and make it a new tree using Photoshop. I don’t like the tree I chose that much, but I like how it turned out in the end. The tree is right behind a door which I think helps with the framing. For this photo, I edited it with a curved layer to make it brighter. I like this photo because this is the first time I edited a photo for a challenge, and I hope I edit more photos for these assignments in the future. Below is the original photo.
If I were to do this again, I would try to find a way or another tree to reflect to make the base of the tree bigger, making it look more realistic. I would also try to shoot the photo at a different time so I would get better lighting before putting it in Photoshop.
