I liked this photo challenge because I got to figure out how to photograph heavy and light things. The darker an object is the heavier it looks, and the brighter something may look, the lighter it is. Leaves are very light objects, but I wanted to show the opposite, making them appear heavy. I took a darker photo for the leaves to look heavier than they are and cropped out some dead patches of grass.
In the end, I don’t think I did that well with making the leaves look heavy. In the future, I hope I try this concept again with a different object to have it appear heavy, instead of making the dead leaves look even darker and more depressing.
