milo rathbun – storytelling

In this photo (disregard the contents behind the window) I wanted to capture the story of myself. I find in my life that this can be the most difficult story to tell out of all. There are still many uncertainties and although I know much of where I’ve been, I don’t know much of where I’m going. The composition would somewhat metaphorically represent this. The bars in front of the reflection represent how I can many times feel trapped in my life and don’t know where to go. The blurriness of the reflection causes the viewer to experience uncertainty as to what is actually there. Similarly in my life there are many uncertainties and as I progress and learn my own reflection becomes clearer.
