Story Telling

In our weekly photo blog, we were challenged to take photos that create a story.

    Stranger

April Week 1 My task was to tell the story of a stranger. I chose the towns’ fairy loving house; this little mushroom door. In the light of day, dusk of dawn, nor at mid way crescent moon peak does this tiny lil’ door reveal its secrets. This little mushroom door opens a door into the world no one knows, lighting the path all the way home. A home no one knows. . .

    Aging

March Week 1 This week’s prompt involved aging. For that reason, I chose to photograph my dad’s work shoes to represent the passing of time since I was a child, back then, I would jump into his arms when he got home from work. However, as I grew older, I would start to less so as it started to seem child-like. Even so I eventually realized it does not have a direct relation. So, that is why I believe this is the perfect representation of aging. . . .

    New Beginnings

January Week 1 We were to story tell this week based on the idea that our world is full of circular patterns; as some things end, others begin. I thought of winter break, it brings us time to be with family and to receive the new year. Through it we exchange the sacrifice of death, that places food on our tables and embrace a new year.

    Hometown

December Week 1 This week we were tasked with taking an image of a place that reminded us of our hometown. For me personally this was the trees. We have many different types of trees that when the leaves fall, I barely notice because most are still full.

    Love Story

November Week 1 For this week’s challenge we were supposed to tell a love story. For that reason, I was reminded of flowers in a neighbors front yard. They always have flowers, whatever the season may be and I would like to think that they are like their precious darlings that they get to see once again every spring and summer and say goodbye to when autumn comes.

    Warmth

October Week 1 ………………………………. This weeks prompt was to tell a story through an image that makes us feel warm inside. Today, I was reminded of the end of soft summer breezes and undying daylight and laughter. I believe this image captures the essence of those elements.

    Self-Portrait

September Week 1 This week we were challenged to create a self portrait of ourselves without showing our face. Although I found this a bit difficult, I settled on capturing a rose seen through the mirror behind a unicorn. I thought this was suited to reflect my personality because although I am a night owl and when no one is around I more easily let myself go. In essence the mirror was set there to act as the gateway where no is looking/around. The unicorn was set to represent when I go full on excited mode and nothing can upset it. The rose I though was a representation of how…
