    future (skies)

I may not know where my journey will take me, but I do know wherever it does, I will not be alone. We are all grounded beneath the same skies no matter the distances. As I look at this I am filled with nostalgia and bittersweetness that not all will ever be the same. Although the future is filled with uncertainty it promises new adventures and learning. And I am excited and prepared to see what’s in store! 🙂 After all, after night comes the light of a new dawn.

    Frame(d)

May Week 2 For photo in a frame, I saw this person taking things out of their trunk and despite being early evening and having clear blue skies, this trunk created the perfect dreamlike sunset. The frame of it is like a portal to an alternate universe. The hint of a promise but in reality but a bit of imagination.

    Self Portrait

May Week 1 As Juniors, we were tasked for our first photo blog to take a self portrait without our physical presence. Back then I thought perfect, being a shy, introverted junior. However since then, I have also learned how to set a timer with a DSLR camera, and truth be told it was fun closing my eyes and trying to picture how I appeared to the outside world. And while my essence hasn’t changed, my hair color has. And the color that still best represents me is pink.

    Props?

This week, we were tasked with props. While I had none, I thought perhaps this leaf could act as a leaf. Here this caterpillar is too high to know how hard the fall is. Who knows, maybe before the fall it will fly first.

    Modern Convenience

April Week 1 The modern convenience I cannot live without is plastic. It dominates our existence, intoxicates our food and bodies, it is what we dress and eat. I cannot imagine the world of before. It encapsulates so much of what we do and use that it seems strange that there be something better than plastic. It almost seems too good to be true.

    Current Events

The silence before the storm never gets old. Quaking in your boots, fists clenched. Heavy breathing filled with anticipation. Is today the day you live, or you die? Who knows. By the end of today, you’ll either be dead or so grateful you are alive- that you never question those moments of peace. But when all you want is peace, you should prepare to face the man whose face is of greed. Who knows when you’ll sleep in your bed again– the one your parents scraped up to by on your 8th birthday. Who knows if you’ll live to see tomorrow? –Even if you do, do you think you’ll ever…

    Depth of Field

The night assembles as the sun sets, but when it rises how do you know it is day? Without bad, there would be not good, but if good becomes bad and bad becomes good, what is it really? when abuse drowns out love, it is a beast unleashed–sometimes it creeps below the surface or within your shadow. other times it is as violent as a hurricane tearing everything in its pass, but in the eye of the storm is it love? when the tempest settles and the lines are blurred with destruction, what have you become? While I was at the library one day, I saw how tight the twists…

    Deadly Sins

March Week 1 Of the 7 Deadly Sins, I chose to depict pride. This is because our society causes for pride and vanity to flourish. And the sense of accomplishment to turn into bragging rights which can turn into an unfounded sense of superiority. futhermore, social media allows for it to seem as if the world is a competition. With what you’re able to do to have fun to what you accomplish.

    Film Noir

Febuary Week 3 For this week we were prompted to create a film noir image. I chose to depict the after moments of death. the body was buried, and hands were dried of bloody bits. now no evidence is left. I always thought I was the savior but maybe I was actually the villain.
