    future (skies)

I may not know where my journey will take me, but I do know wherever it does, I will not be alone. We are all grounded beneath the same skies no matter the distances. As I look at this I am filled with nostalgia and bittersweetness that not all will ever be the same. Although the future is filled with uncertainty it promises new adventures and learning. And I am excited and prepared to see what’s in store! 🙂 After all, after night comes the light of a new dawn.

    Current Events

The silence before the storm never gets old. Quaking in your boots, fists clenched. Heavy breathing filled with anticipation. Is today the day you live, or you die? Who knows. By the end of today, you’ll either be dead or so grateful you are alive- that you never question those moments of peace. But when all you want is peace, you should prepare to face the man whose face is of greed. Who knows when you’ll sleep in your bed again– the one your parents scraped up to by on your 8th birthday. Who knows if you’ll live to see tomorrow? –Even if you do, do you think you’ll ever…

    Work

January Week 3 For most, rainy days mean rest, indoor games, baking, and movies. But for others, it means there is no food put on your plate because your daily earnings never made it. But that’s ok. It never means more than when you can’t enjoy your child’s smiling face. Work, work, I gotta get to work. Somebody give me work, I need to pay the bills… In contrast, Sun– go away just a little. Just enough to not burn. To you I am so grateful. You make the plants grows, people smile. You just give me too many burns, it’s almost frustrating. Be kind, be gentle. Don’t punish us…

    The Elements

December Week 3 Earth, Fire, Wind, Rain, and Spirit. Of all those, I would say Earth is the center. It is the beginning and the end of their existence. It is a burning fire of inspiration and awe. It is a typhoon. It’s a forest fire. It is gentle like a breeze and as destructive as a tsunami. You could say it is a free spirit. But for now, it is glittering bit life and sun.

    Gratitude

November Week 3 I am grateful for my Mom. She has inspired me and pushed me the many times I have wanted to give up. Even when I don’t want to hear reason, she is always there to remind me. Even when she is not her words are the first I hear when I need to reflect. For those reasons I am grateful to her kindness, generosity, and always being fierce to protect her own. I am grateful to have her as a Mom :)) I represent her with this Snow White figurine because she is my Mom’s favorite princess. I got it for her birthday because I wanted to…

    Who Inspires Me?

October Week 3 Personal Reflection Many times in our lives the people who inspire us are not heroes filled with awards or life changing discoveries. Most times the people who inspire us are the closest to us. Usually, when I am asked who inspires me I say my Mom. While true, this time, I took to reflect on why and I found it is because I spend time with her the most and know her past and daily struggles the most. However, she is only half of my influence. I discovered that although my Dad is not always present during the day, his work ethic, fierceness, sense of responsibility, and…

    Habits

September Week 3 This week prompt involved depicting habits. I was inspired by the glitter that I had spilled the previous day. As the sun reflected on it reminded me of the chaos procrastination is.

    Exit

May Week 3 To inspire us this week we were given the phrase, “every exit is an entry to somewhere else”: And with the breeze flutters but a million wishes, that exit renews a dream. . .
