Photoshop Pastel Painting

For this pastel painting, I chose a picture of my favorite Japanese voice actor, Rikako Aida, then I used pastel brush and directly painted it over the picture in Photoshop.

Photoshop Water Color Painting

For watercolor painting, I decided to take a picture of oranges and used it for my choice for water coloring. I then imported it on Photoshop, which then I applied the water color board behind it and apply a paint brush.

Photoshop Painting

For Photoshop painting, I decided that I wanted to paint a koi fish in a pond. I decided to use a mix of different blend of colors to add a cool calming affect when making this piece.

Photoshop Surrealism Composition

When creating this project, I was thinking of what it will look like if you were to get high in the clouds. Seeing how well the images blended together makes me happy how well it turned out. While the image lacks a meaning I think the creativity to the observers makes it more interesting.

Multi-Layered Art Project

For this project I created many layers, the pieces surrounded the theme behind what I think of Japan. Each image is later printed out which is made of wood and is later assembled.

Artist Statement: Nihon Breezes

When creating this project the inspiration I used was thinking what things when coming to Japan I would think of. The way I grew is by having to think of what I would use for what I would if I was a tourist for the first time going to Japan and what stands out to me. Struggles faced were creating the little details when I created my piece and I overcame it by trial and error. When doing the trial and error process I learned what not to do and eventually figured it out. If there’s things I would change is adding more details on certain layers like my katana as I felt that it was pretty bland. I would instead add a lot more detail and have wrapping at the bottom of the katana. Thing I’m most proud of is how well the details came out like the Poke ball. This project would help in the future if I want to make 3D layer sculpture and thought me that you can have any broken lines or else the layer will be break. I understand that when people create this type of art, that it takes a lot of time as you don’t want to end up breaking your piece.
