Music is the one thing on the planet that can bring everyone together. Personally, I listen to music for hours each day. I jump around to all different genres and it really helps get me in a mood, or keep that mood going. And while I listen to tens of thousands of hours of music each year, I’ve never really been one to make my own or play instruments. However, this summer, my brothers bought a ukulele back east when we were on a trip. On the trip I mentioned to my brothers how I’ve always wanted to learn the uku and was considering buying one when I got back home. Weeks later, a box showed up at my door. I had no idea what it could be. Turns out, my brother, Scott, sent me a uke so I could learn. Super sweet gift. And since then, I’ve played the uke a little bit, but not as much as I’d like to. Now that college applications are over though, it frees up a lot of time for me to give the uke more of a shot and I’m excited to get better at it.
