Deadly Sins

Envy

When it comes to the gym and working out, I think everyone is envious. Everyone starts at a different point, but everyones goal is to get in better shape, get bigger, stronger, faster. And most of the time, that is fueled by seeing someone you are envious of, or sometimes you are envious of the way you could look if you worked out. And I think it goes both ways for me. I’ve been blessed with height, but I’ve never been the most filled out and bulky kid. I’ve always been lanky, one could say. So for me, the gym was a way for me to fix that. I became envious of how I could look if I consistently went to the gym and everyday I go, I see people bigger and stronger than me. But that’s what keeps me going. Although envy is something described as a deadly sin, in the case of working out, I find it to be super beneficial. But beyond that, I see the harm it can cause.
