For this prompt, I did not use any filters to edit the photo except to just adjust the exposure. I chose to use this particular object because I just got it as a gift and I thought it was cute.

For this prompt, I used the view over the roof of my house because the silhouettes of the trees and lamps showed negative space.

For this prompt, I took a photo of my shadow in front of a door with an octogonal window. I thought the shape of the window looked cool and the brightness of the door created a lot of contrast between it and the shadow of me and the surrounding area.

I decided to show the prompt anonymous using a wooden mannequin for drawing. I thought this fit because the person has no face. I think it also works because these models can be used to create any person because they only give you ideas about that person’s positioning, not their features.

This week’s prompt was to use a center framed portrait to show loneliness. To do this, I used a hippo. I put it in the center of the photo with a very bare background to show that it is alone.

For this prompt, I decided to use this object. I think it fits because it is a kind of circular pattern. The ball gets hit, goes off to the side, comes back, hits the other one, and then repeats over and over again. So each time the ball gets hit, it is beginning a new cycle.

I crochet which means I end up with a lot of scrap yarn or just tangled messes. But I never want to waste any so I keep it all and have a bucket of all the yarn I cannot currently use. But I am planning on starting a new scrap project. So I will use as much of it as I can to create a blanket and use the truly unusable pieces as extra stuffing for whatever I do next.

I am Jewish so one of the traditions my family has is to light the menorah. I chose to use this for balance because it is symmetrical, although the candle placement is not because it was only the third day.

I like putting random things on my walls to make my room a bit more fun. So one of my favorite gifts I’ve received were chalk pens. I can just draw directly on my walls and then wash it off with a bit of water and doodle some more. I also like gnomes so there’s a gnome hanging there as well which was also a gift.

One of my favorite things to do is drive so for this photo I wanted to make it look like how I see in my car driving at night. To do this, I used the white balance tungsten light setting to give everything the blue tint that everything gets at night.
