Tell a Lie
For this week’s photo challenge, we were told to tell a lie through the camera. I grabbed one of my Gengar plushies, brought it to my backyard, and framed it as if it were menacingly looking at the camera with a devilish grin. I used an emergency light to backlight it with a red hue.
Leading Lines in Food
For this photo challenge, we were supposed to use leading lines when photographing food. I arranged pita bread and falafel plates so they were both rotated diagonally, facing the camera, while also having the other plates parallel to them.
Stranger
This is a squirrel I met in a park. It approached my family quietly, as if asking for food and later went back to hide.
Serenity
To me, serenity is being entangled in life and nature, without a care in the world.
Lighting
For this challenge, we had to use our Speedlite in a creative way. I took a picture of my dog holding his favorite toy as he looked up into the flash.
Aging
For this photo, we had to tell a story of aging. I snapped a picture of my mom’s hand because it had many marks of aging and was posed in a gesture of insecurity.
#NoFilter
For this Photo Blog, we could take a picture of anything as long as we didn’t edit anything on it. I took a picture of my dog after she woke up because I really liked the way the lighting coming through the windows framed her figure.
Negative Space
For this picture, we had to create a powerful landscape using negative space. I decided to frame a family on their boat rowing through a lake with the negative space of the water and clouds.
Shadow
We were supposed to tell a story through shadows. I decided to take a picture of my dad while he leisurely took a sip of his morning coffee, the warm shadows adding the homeliness he felt.
Anonymous
It is easy to take an anonymous identity online. Whenever my brother plays Fortnite, he gets so immersed in the game he forgets there are other people in his house and shouts at his friends.
