Meet Sally. She is Cloud’s best friend. They do everything together. These animals carefully crafted from cotton swabs, toilet paper tubes, and markers, although amazing, are far more, to me, than what meets the eye. When I got my wisdom teeth out, I came home completely knocked out, and immediately went to sleep. When I woke up, I was greeted by Cloud, the llama. My three and six year-old sisters had thoughtfully made her (with some help from our other sister). Throughout the upcoming couple of days, every time I woke up, I was meet by a new animal. Soon, my room looked like a small zoo with an entire koala family, a chameleons, a giraffe, and many cards. My favorite read, “Carly, you are Ass-sum (Awesome). Love, Ivy.” To me, this is what we need more of in the world, simply, thoughtful reaching out, and I don’t know about you, but it definitely made me feel warm inside.
