The prompt for this photo was “friends and family”. Instead of just taking a photo of my friends/family, I decided to collect “artifacts” that represented them and lay them out. I included birthday cards, photos, and gifts. After taking the photo, I put it into Photoshop and ended up doing a lot of adjustments to get the desired mood. I started by brightening the image, as well as making the colors more vibrant. I wanted the image to feel sort of nostalgic or like a treasured memory, so I added a subtle sepia filter. I also blurred the edges and added a vignette to help give it the look I was going for. I wanted the image to look like a glimpse into my memories, and I think I was somewhat able to capture that.
