The prompt for this photo was “low angles”. I looked through some examples of low angle photography, and really liked the dramatic effect in a lot of the photos. I wanted to capture this dramatic effect in my photo, and I also wanted to create tension in the image. To do this, I decided to photograph a stack of heavy books almost falling off the edge of something. I stacked up some of my textbooks and placed them on the edge of a table, then pushed them further forward to the point right before they would fall over. In Photoshop, I didn’t do much to edit this photo other than making it a bit brighter, although making sure that the lower part of the image was darker to make it stand out. I’m quite happy with how this photo came out, and I think I was able to capture the tension that I wanted to.
