Film noir is a concept I have studied for cinema, so it was interesting to research its applications in photography as well. It’s not a style that I particularly enjoy, but I recently began shooting film photography, so this challenge was a great opportunity to use one of my recent 35mm shots. This photo was taken when my friends and I drove up Skyline Blvd (like we always do on Friday nights). This photo captures our chaotic and playful energy when we park and enjoy the viewpoint. I edited this photo black and white in Adobe Photoshop, and I love the way the black and white enhances the depth in the photo. Personally, I still prefer the colored image, which can be found below.
