Photo Blog 38: Rule of Odds (in Architecture)

A young boy playing on the playground at Oak Elementary; 1/100, f4.5, ISO 100

For this week’s photo challenge, we instructed to use the Rule of Odds in an urbanscape/architecture photo. I chose to photograph a young boy on a playground at Oak Elementary. While many people may think of skyscrapers and buildings when talking about architecture, I believe that playgrounds are also great pieces of architecture(but for kids)! When constructed well, they can be unique pieces of art that kids will cherish for years to come. This picture uses the rule of odds in which there is one child playing on it. I also really like how his yellow shirt draws your attention to him in contrast to the background.
