I chose to photograph a dried fountain in my mom’s garden which held a statue of a young boy and girl. Using Adobe Photoshop, I edited the photo to make the statue pop out of the background more. I’m not sure of the true intentions or meaning of the sculpture, however whenever I see it I imagine them to be in love. I believe that love is something that can be incredibly mysterious while also thrilling, and this statue helps to elevate that sense of mystery. The two children on the statue also remind me of the main characters of one of my favorite romance movies, Flipped.
