Photo Blog 17: Negative Space

The view of Donner Lake on a sunny day

For this week’s photo challenge, we were challenged to use negative space to photograph a powerful landscape. I chose to photograph Donner Lake(located near Lake Tahoe), a place surrounded by vast mountains and skies. I really like this photo, especially because of how the mountains and cloud reflect off of the lake. There is also a great amount of negative space with both the sky and lake, but it still manages to create a beautiful effect and is very visually pleasing(at least for me!).
