This week, we were challenged to tell the story of aging through a photograph. I chose to photograph a photo collage that still hangs in my sister’s old room, even though she no longer lives in our home as a college student. Having received this as an 18th birthday gift, it contains at least one photo from every year of her life up until she was 18. I think this demonstrates the story of aging in a really great way because it captures almost someone’s entire life in just one photo, and you can see how she grows and develops her passions. Looking at this photo wall evokes a somewhat bittersweet feeling, as does aging.
