For this week’s photo, we were challenged to tell the story of freedom. When I first saw this prompt, I immediately thought about being able to drive on my own as a teenager. I recently got my driver’s license, which is something I’ve wanted to get since I first entered high school. It’s a monumental experience for almost all teenagers, and represents freedom in a way where we have the ability to drive ourselves anywhere we want, on our own accord. We have the freedom of being on our own time schedule rather than relying on others to drive us and give us rides. This freedom also gives us a taste of independence as we start to become more self-sustaining as we grow up.
