Photo Blog 32: Fill the Frame(with color)

a basket of lemons; 1/80, f4.5, ISO 400

For this week’s photo challenge, we were instructed to fill the frame with only one color. I chose to photograph a basket of hand-picked lemons in my kitchen. I rearranged them strategically so that there were also different levels to the photos and so that I could focus my camera on different levels, and then zoomed in my camera a lot to really get the “filled frame” effect. I really like how this photo came out, as the color pops really nicely despite it being so simple. I also like how raw and unfiltered these lemons are, as they still have a bit of dirt and bruises from being naturally grown in our yard.
