This week, we were challenged to use white balance in our photos in order to affect the colors of our photo. For this challenge, I had been struggling to find something cool to photograph with white balance. However, I came upon this streetlamp as I was taking a walk that I originally photographed just for my own keeping. I then decided to use the white balance setting of “Daylight” in order to bolden the warm orange and red hues that were already present in this photo, and therefore complete this week’s inspiration. This is by far my favorite photo I’ve taken because it provides a sense of warmth and comfort to me, as it clearly depicts autumn, my favorite season of the year. I also used Adobe Photoshop to highlight and bring out the lamp and straighten the photo.
