Leading lines in the road
“Fall hits the road”

This week we were challenged to use the concept of leading lines, but not to show depth of field, instead, to show the concept of something being infinite. There are plenty of different objects and surfaces in my house that have leading lines, but the compositions surrounding them are all super colorless and boring. With that being said, I decided to go to downtown Los Altos and find a good spot with leading lines. As I got into my car it started raining for the first time this season. It was beautiful. It really brought out the color in the trees and the air was super clean. I ended up coming upon a nice spot in the road that looked upon two trees, with two distinct yellow lines splitting the sides of the road whose colors were brought out by the rain. In order to capture the “infinite” concept into the composition, I positioned my camera a couple inches from the ground. By doing this it made it seem like the road went on forever. My favorite part by far though is definitely the variation of colors throughout the trees.
