A lonely person walking along a sidewalk

This week, we were instructed to photograph our subject in the center of the frame in order to exhibit loneliness. For this photo, I photographed my sister by herself walking along a sidewalk Although more difficult, I took this photo during the night, as I feel like the evening tends to emphasize feelings of loneliness. In order to enhance the mood of the photo, I used Photoshop to make the background black and white, with my sister being the only source of illuminated color in the photo. The blurriness of the background also help to direct the audience’s focus to the lonely subject.
