Photo Blog 34: Color without Color

A gallery of my mom’s paintings in the hallway; 1/64, f4.5, ISO 1600

This week, we were challenged to tell the story of something colorful, but without color. I chose to photograph a collection of my mom’s paintings that hang at the end of our hallway. Painting is something that is typically very colorful, and I found it interesting that all of the diverse colors in the picture were stripped away so easily. In a way, I kind of like how the black and white filter leaves the colors of the paintings up to imagination, as you can still tell that there are many different colors in this photo(but just don’t know which ones).
