This week, we were challenged to tell a story using the iconic “Film Noir” technique. I’d seen this film style in a lot of mystery/horror films, so I wanted to try to emulate that. I went to my favorite bookstore downtown and saw this old-timey clock, which I thought would be perfect for the mood I was trying to convey. It kind of reminds me of a horror movie that’s counting down a clock. I used Adobe Photoshop to put a black and white filter over the photo and to really make the clock & sign stand out from the background.
