Story Telling

Color Without Color

Westwind

The most color is always seen at the top of the hill with the sun shining bright and beautiful blue skies all around.

For this week’s prompt, we had to take a “colorful photo” but in black and white. At first, this was a difficult prompt because if you take a photo of an object that’s just one color, it doesn’t seem to colorful in black and white. So, I went to a spot that has a lot of light and a lot of different colors, Westwind.

This photo tells the “colorful” story of all the afternoons I have spent hanging out with friends at Westwind during Covid and the hundreds of other sunny beautiful days I have spent out in the sun.

And Although this photo is in black and white, you can tell there are a large assortment of colors through the variance in the shades of white, grey, and black.

Looking back on this prompt, black and white photos can turn out pretty intriguing and in the future I want to take more of them when I get the opportunity.
