“Our world is full of circular patterns; as some things end, others begin” was the motivation for this week’s photo blog. One of the most obvious yet beautiful circular patterns we see every year throughout our lifetime is the change between seasons. New plants grow, old ones die off, leaves turn different colors, but in this season, winter, the plants become barren in preparation for a new life upon them in spring. The cold, rainy temperatures of winter give off minimal sun to the plants, hence, not allowing them to carry out processes like photosynthesis, necessary to their growth. But, as spring comes upon us, the sun is starting to come out again and soon enough, the circular pattern will be complete once again. The leaves will grow back and the flower will bloom.
