Rule of Odds
1/50 F5.0 ISO400

The rule of odds is used to avoid boring symmetry. When an image is too perfectly balanced, it can be uncomfortable or uninteresting to look at. Instead, by making sure subjects are grouped in odd numbers, there is more interest and satisfaction in viewing an image. I used my blue walls of my room as the backdrop and the simple clean colors of the desk and subjects, as well as shadows from the light behind, to create a simple and pleasant image following the rule of odds.
