To start this composition, I brainstormed different perspectives that I could take a photo from. I was drawn to the window in my room because of its interesting surrounding and the light it shone on the rest of the room. After some experimenting, I had the idea to use the mesh on the back of my chair to add interest to the image. By taking a photo through the chair, I could not only take advantage of the interesting structure made by the solid parts of the backrest, but also create a fuzzy, somewhat distorted filter over the rest of the composition. To me, the final result is somewhat disorienting and confusing but ultimately pleasant and comfortable.
