This photograph was an attempt to capture motion in a still image using the rule of thirds. I had my brother scale the railing of our stairs and pose at the top, while I angled the camera to make it seem as though he was hanging just below the ceiling. The only light source were the hallway lights behind him, which created shadows in the downward direction that also contributed to the illusion of motion.
