In my weekly photo blog, one of my challenges was to take photos of people. objects, or places that inspired me.
This week we were given the opportunity to take a picture of a subject of our own choice, without editing it. I chose to photograph some flowers in my backyard because it was one of the first things I had ever photographed when I first got into photography a couple of years ago.
This week’s challenge was to interpret the theme “Anonymous”. I decided to photograph a shadowed figure because I personally associate the word anonymous as something dark and mysterious. The figure is looking out on the city at night to emphasize mystery.
This week’s challenge was to photograph something using “trash” as our inspiration. As the word trash may be associated with negative connotations, I decided to photograph this particular trash can showing a smiling design in order to combat the stereotypical “trash” image.
This week’s challenge was to take a photo in black and white of a subject of our choice. I chose to photograph this flower because it stood out from its dull surrounding plants, and I knew its white color would show brightly in the colorless photo.
This week’s challenge was to take a photograph with the inspiration of “heavy as stone, light as a feather”. I decided to take a picture of a plane when I was traveling because depending on you perceive it, planes may represent weightlessness in the air or heavy weight due to their actual mass.
This week’s challenge was to represent your mood. I chose to photograph this broken flower in my backyard to represent my mood: spent. The broken petals represent my efforts I’ve spent and no longer have to put into something else.
