Exquisite Corpse Poem Video
Exquisite Corpse is a method by which a collection of words or images is assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.
This year, our English teacher, Mr. Greco, put a special emphasis on intertwining different people in our class. We worked in small groups to create an exquisite poem, which means that one person writes a line and passes the paper over to the next person who, without looking at previous lines, has to write another line and so on till it reaches the last person.
My line: And a phoenix emerges
This project challenged me and my team mates to work together. We depended on each other to post everything by the due date and make appropriate lines although we did not see what the previous person wrote. I am happy with the final product and I believe that my teammates had good artistic choices. Before creating this video I knew very little about Adobe After Effects. Creating this video challenged me to learn and think of a way to represent all of my teammates work. I believe that since everyones photo was so vibrant I decided to make the video simply straight forward with no complicated transitions. Overall, I like the final product and I think its pretty nice this way.
